Happy New Year!

Imagem
I should like to post the last news for 2012 by thanking everyone who helped me with my project and in special, every single animal on earth I have clicked behind the lenses of my camera. These animals together with all the children I teach inside the Wildlife Project, were responsible to support and help me during the difficulties I have faced through the year 2012. Impossible not to mention Africa in my words, a place that I love since I was a little kid, and hopefully, will have the pleasure to visit and work with, for the rest of my entire life.   I should like to send to all my readers my very warmest wishes for 2013. May the New Year bring refreshment and joy to you and your families,  May 2013 be filled with happiness and peace, tolerance and understanding within our world community. Let us celebrate the wonders of our world, strive to protect them and learn to share them a little more equally, specially with children and animals. Happy New Year! Happy 2013!

Squirrels at Green Park

It doesn't matter where you go, you always be able to find a little bit of wildlife, even in the parks located in the big city centres. I remember when I bot this new lenses and was so excited to try it, but not in the city. I was going back to my hotel and decided to walk, for my surprise, when crossing the Green Park, in London, I found a lot to play with and did a lot of photos. Now, Green Park is a place where I always pass by to check what is going on and to see my little friends, the very little ones.

Suricate

Imagem
( Suricata suricata ), a predatory mammal of the family Viverridae. The head and body length is about 35 cm; the lightly furred tail measures about 25 cm in length. The hairs are sparse and shaggy. The back and sides are marked with rows of spots or with indistinct whitish and brown transverse bands. The suricate is found in the desert regions of southern Africa. It is active during the day. The mammal lives in colonies in burrows that it digs itself. It often lives amid colonies of ground squirrels. The suricate resembles a suslik in the way it stands still and whistles when alarmed. The diet consists of insects and small vertebrates. A litter of two to four young is born each year.

Keep Calm and carry on!

What would you do if an adult Cheetah comes inside your vehicle, making everything different from the original plans... Well, first thing is, don't be in panic, don't scream, don't move and try to be as calm as possible, that's what the guide said to me. At the end of the day, it was the best experience I have ever had.

Planning to go Africa?

Imagem
If you are planning to go Africa, I should say that you are thinking the right way, maybe, you just need to get the right tips about what to do and where to go, as Africa is a quite big continent with a lot of different cultures, countries and people. Africa can be beautiful, but also danger and maybe, just maybe, a place that you will fall in love for the rest of your life.

Thinking about gratitude

If having a soul means being able to feel love, loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans.

My Passion

I really love nature, and to be in the wild registering each single moment is what really pushes me forward. The result of such passion is the images showing that still a lot to be discovered.

Inspiring People!

Hopefully, one day I will be inspiring people to fall in love with our planet through it's images.

An African Elephant!

If you want to see these big guys here, go to Africa, and than to Chobe National Park. There you will see loads of animals, and in special elephants. We stayed there for 3 nights and could photograph hundreds of them. Definitely Chobe is the right place to meet with the big boys.

This is what we call Danger!

It was nice the morning we spent navigating in the Chobe River, a place we could see Namibia, Botswana and Zambia, all at the same time and from the same place. Apart from the beautiful view, we had plenty crocks around, as well as hippo's. This is what we call danger!

90 days to go!

Imagem
Now it is time to start organising our next trip which will take place as from March 3RD 2013, and which is only 3 months from today. Once again, it is going to be three of us leaving from Sao Paulo direct to Johannesburg and than a short connection to Nairobi in Kenya. The idea is to stay overnight in Nairobi, maybe a small hotel or bed & breakfast and than depart early morning next day. I am quite excited with this trip because Nairobi is a place that I always wanted to visit, since I was 9 years old and used to follow Tarzan movies in the afternoon after school. Another great thing is the books I have read, all talking about Kenya and places I know I will be visiting. Our trip will cover Kenya and Tanzania, a 10 days trip on board of a truck.
